Within 10 minutes of Glen Tui, you can visit the impressive Huka Falls. Stand on a footbridge while nearly 220,000 litres per second of water thunder through a narrow passageway beneath you. Or take a boat ride right up to the base of the falls. Further downstream, visit the Aratiatia Dam and watch the floodgates open at regular times throughout the day to create the Aratiatia Rapids.
Also near Glen Tui is Lava Glass, a fascinating café and gallery where you can watch the art of glassblowing, and the Honey Hive & Meadery, with over 600 bee-related products on sale and interactive displays on beekeeping.
